Yes, these fairy tales are a distant echo of paradise lost and gained through Christ's finished work at Calvary. Fairy tales because 'enlightenment' Europe had wrung out the true 'magic' of the Gospel narrative. When our hearts are smitten with the Great Prince's love, who gave His life in exchange to ransom us, our hearts cannot but sing His praise, and dance from the joy He gives. God bless you.
